John & Mollie Wells : Malawi, Africa

In 2010, on a short-term mission trip to an unreached tribe in Brazil, God started to break our hearts for those who have never heard the name of Jesus. All people should have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and make a decision to follow Jesus. Ever since that incredible experience in Brazil, God has slowly been preparing us to serve Him full-time.

Porch de Salomon is a response to several families and their friends being called into lives of love and service in Panajachel, Guatemala. We strive to bring the first-century church’s spirit of adventure, risk, service, and even fun to those who live in a 21st-century world. Solomon’s Porch was an ancient, open place where people seeking transformation gathered to explore Jesus of Nazareth’s radical message of love and redemption.

Porch de Salomon is a unique and progressive non-profit which, since 2005, has loved, served, and encouraged “the lost, the least and the last” of Guatemala’s Lake Atitlan basin, by:

Hosting short-term service teams: indigenous home construction (172 quality family houses built!), community building construction, medical/dental/hearing aid/eyeglass clinics (over 28,000 patients seen), and relationship building.

Providing high-impact, year-round, humanitarian relief to indigenous people: food, clean water systems, environmentally-friendly woodstoves, malnourished infant relief, medicine, school scholarships, substance abuse recovery, counseling, sustainable micro-businesses, and more.

Operating Café Hotel California and the Hotel California.

Live music outreach and creative partnering in Panajachel’s hippie and expatriate communities.

Encouraging high-impact growth in individuals and groups through their involvement in Porch’s work in Guatemala.

It all started in the year 2012 when God gave us the vision to start a Bible school in Kenya. The ultimate goal was to train local Pastors who eventually will be able to teach at the school. Each year students receive a Strong’s Concordance and a NKJV bible included with their text books. We have been blessed to have Reverend Ronnie Matheney come and train the students on how to use the concordance. This knowledge is essential for them to have especially when doing research for a message. Our mission is to send trained labourers into East Africa, who operate in integrity and can make a difference in people’s lives, because it is not what we say that will win the lost, but what we do or how we live. Relying on God’s Holy Spirit, we are determined to do all we can to ensure that our graduates are transformation agents. We hope and pray that all our students will make a significant impact in the family, the community, the workplace, and the church where God puts them. Through mentoring, modeling, teaching and praying, we seek to make disciples who desire to partner with God in His mission of redeeming, reconciling and transforming the world.

The Hope House is a restoration home for children aged 13 and below who have been rescued from human trafficking. The Hope House is seeing these children encounter Jesus and experience restoration through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Worship, prayer, therapeutic activities, and Spirit-led counsel are combined with caring for practical needs such as medical care, legal assistance, and education to help each child receive quality individualized care. We are seeing these young children find hope in the truest sense of the word as they come to understand their Heavenly Father’s love for them and know what it is to be children of the Kingdom.

Radical Restoration Ministries is about setting the captives free, into a family and empowering them to hear from God and know how to act His word.

The ministry program is 12 to 18 months of Christian discipleship that is dedicated to teaching the uncompromising Word of God and empowering women to utilize their God given gifts for His Glory.

Our Mission – Radical Restoration is a faith based, Not for Profit organization, Christ-Centered Ministry dedicated to rehabilitating women upon release of incarceration and/or release from rehab centers. We provide housing and an environment where they can grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We teach Christian biblical standards and principles which we expect them to turn around and apply to their daily lives. It is the mission of Radical Restoration to provide a full range of services to females with a history of dysfunction and addictions. We are a multi-cultural, bilingual and non-denominational setting.  We want to show women God’s unfailing love through His mercy and compassion.

Our History – While in the Volusia County Jail in 2005, Dawn Knighton-Adkins, our founder, had a vision from God to start a ministry which would help women just like her. She had a troubled history and was using her skills to do many illegal and unsavory things. She found herself at the bottom of a dark pit and knew only God could and would help her get out. She made a promise to the Lord in that jail that when she was released she would use the gifts and skills He gave her for His kingdom. She would be His hands and feet to others like her. October 7th 2007, Dawn was released from prison and immediately honored her covenant with God by engaging in many different local ministries. She reached out to addicted women in Sister of Sobriety at Disc Village, a local organization which helped young women in need. She transported these same women to and from church services and activities. The Lighthouse children’s home knew her as their volunteer hair dresser. She counseled women in crisis pregnancies at the local Wakulla Pregnancy Center.

By November of 2008 Dawn began a Friday Night Bible study to deliver men and women from the bondage of addictions of all types. She instilled in them their need for Christ above anything else in their life. She wanted them to use the desire they once held for their addictions and turn it into an addiction to the Lord. Dawn was ordained as a Minister on January 11th 2009.

In August of 2009 she was given the opportunity to rent a place in Panacea, Fl. She could use as a transition home for women leaving addiction and prison. She worked hard painting, clearing the yard, gathering furniture and needs to house six to eight women. The open house for Radical Restoration was held on November 7th 2009.

In 2016, Dawn met her husband, Ron Adkins, who was supernaturally released from a 500 year prison sentence after doing 20 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Shortly after they were married, God brought them full circle back to the judge who sentenced him. They now spend their time together sharing their powerful testimonies in prisons, churches, and conferences all over the country.

Today Radical Restoration Ministries has multiple residential discipleship homes.  Our locations are in Florida, Alabama, Indiana, and Texas.

Dawn has written a book about the incredible encounters with God that changed her life and birthed this ministry. To read more CLICK HERE and order your book today!

 Pastor Steve Osembe | Africa

My official name is Steven Osembe. I was born and raised up in the western part of Kenya,  where I went to school and did my O level.

I was born again in December 1996,  in a remote village, where my maternal grandmother lived. She was a godly woman who really wanted us to follow the ways of Jesus at the tender age. Yes, that we did. I accepted Jesus at the age of 13 years.

I started active ministry in 2001, while in High school. I was able, at that time,  to preach in different schools,  churches, overnight prayers and  seminars.

By 2004, I had established a Youth Ministry,  that brought together hundreds of youths from different Churches, within my region. By this time I was also active in Church ministry, as an interpreter,  Youth Pastor, and an evangelist...

I am married with 3 Children  Sebby 24, Daniel  15 and Beth 12 years respectively.

The call to ministry and pastoral work came strongly from 2005. By this time, I knew that God has called me to a more serious and engaging ministry. Several prophetic utterances from credible servants of God,  concerning the ministry,  came up during this time. I was and still I am,  sure,  that  God , has called me to the ministry.

In 2010 December 20th , I  began a church in Busia town,  western part of Kenya, at the border with Uganda,  where I stay and serve until now.

The first several years were tough, because I was in the middle of a slum. Response to Church was low and gradual. It took long to pick up.

I was ordained as a Pastor in 2012. I have also attended different theological colleges for Certificate, Diploma, Degree and now, postgraduate study on theology.

Our Church,  TABERNACLE OF GRACE MINISTRY, was officially registered by the government of the Republic of Kenya in 2013. This means that our Church is legally recognised and registered organisation.

 Current Programs/ Projects

We have grown over the years, from just 3 members to over 100 members.

I have been actively involved in the  following ministry endeavours over the years, alongside the local  Church ministry, where I  Pastor and lead:

Prison Ministry.  I am licenced by the government of the Republic of Kenya,  to access  a number of Prison facilities in Kenya. For the past 10 years, I have visited several prisons, and preached to thousands of inmates: male , female and juvenile prisons.  Whenever I visit,  I take to the inmates items for their personal care, like: soaps, toiletries,  sanitary towels, milk sugar and pampers, for children.  I also donate bibles to the inmates.  I  have been getting facilitation from ROL, especially the Bibles to Prisoners. I started receiving support for Bibles and Prison ministry way back in 2019. I have so far distributed over 1000 copies of the Bible to Prisoners.

Support for the local community: This was  heavily supported by ROL especially during the COVID 19 pandemic, when there was lockdown over the world. We were giving out food supplies to Church members and the neighbors within the community,  who couldn’t afford a meal  during the pandemic season. River Of Life  Church supported this initiative frequently.

Men’s Ministry.  For the past 3 years,  I have been engaged in Men’s ministry in my town. This involves having a time with men,  for teaching and fellowship, over coffee or dinner. This  has been one of the most successful ministries in my town, as it is not easy to gather Men, for the word of God. We have had occasions where we gather up to 200  Men for Men’s meeting.  It has been incredible. I also received support from ROL towards this Ministry.

School Missions: This has been my trademark, from the days I was in High school. I have been visiting and preaching to different schools in Kenya and Uganda,  both primary and secondary schools, to the university level. I have seen thousands of young people saying YES  to Jesus,  through this mission. There are those I preached to while in school, some years ago,  who are today Pastors and some are senior government officials. Just a  week ago,  I  had the privilege of sharing  in Weekend Challenge for schools. A number of schools came together, with a population of about 3000 learners.  It was a  great privilege.

Open air Crusades : Together with school missions,  this have characterised my whole ministry life. I am passionate about soul winning. I do all it takes to win souls for Jesus.  With the support I have been receiving from ROL,  this year alone,  I have been able to hold 6 open air Crusades, the 6th one is ongoing at the moment. Every Crusade has seen hundreds of souls coming to Jesus.  Some of them joins our Church,  while others goes to other churches, but the key is that they are in the kingdom.

When we began the year, as a church, we had a vision and focus of winning 10,000 souls for Jesus this year alone. We are moving towards this and the support have been very handy.

Follow-up and discipleship for those who have been born again during our Crusades. This entails, teaching,  water baptism and integration to the local Church. We also train local Churches on Soul winning and Evangelism,  Discipleship and Follow-up methods in local churches.
